The Society in 1961

This link is to a film in the National Libraries of Scotland moving image archive. It carries the title of HAMS and shows the Society as it was over sixty years ago.  The production and filming was done by members of a local cine film club.

You will see some familiar activities here. For example, we still have the Junk Sale and Field Day operations to this day. Society meetings took place in the attic rooms at 6 Blenheim Lane, Aberdeen when this film was made. The building still exists, although it is now derelict following a serious fire in January 1973.
