The AARS Archive Project
Welcome the the AARS Archive Project homepage.
In this section of the website, we hope to bring you some of the events, stories and highlights from the long history of the Society, which was formed at a meeting held in Aberdeen on September 2nd 1946. By the end of the same year, the first office holders and a committee had been appointed. They were:
President: W. W. Inder GM5IP
Vice President: A. G. Anderson (later GM3BCL)
Secretary: A. D. Westland
Treasurer: L Harper GM5JK
Committee Members: H. R. Taggart GM5TA and L. Hardie GM2FHH
We have a variety of archived material available, which we hope to draw from and it is our intention to provide access to some of it via these pages. This will take time, so please be patient and visit the Archive Project regularly to check for any new and interesting additions.
The content available to view in the Archive will be at least one year old, so for the latest news and current information, please visit the main website instead.
If you have anything related to the history of the Society, which you are able to contribute, then please get in touch via our contact page.
